All Masked Up?

Fun with Snapchat.. or not.

You might also notice I took comments down for a while and removed all the old ones. I saved them all since they are all from đź’—friends, but, I wanted to see how this would be without them. They are on again but only temporarily I think.

So.. fooling around with snapchat who is all into the pandemic thing right now....

from snap chat.. do the five.  No.. creepy right?
It might keep me quiet though.

By the Sea

Lot of truth to this. It's the attitude I think and the love of nature.

Stephen Hawking.

Stephen Hawking passed on today at 76.
His wife said death was a relief to him.
He lived longer than most victims of motor neuron disease because he came down with it very early in life. Those who do tend to live a longer life.
One of his final warnings to us was about artificial intelligence. He knew how creepy and dangerous ti could become.
Stephen Hawking had a hard life but he kept at it.
I realize that whatever face people put on in the day, can disappear from time to time when you are alone and dissolve in tears.
God rest his soul.

Old Apartment

Creekside Circle, Murray Utah
I found this online.
I lived there for a bit in Murray Utah before I bought a home.
I think they are condos now. It was a very pretty location.

Favorite Views

Today there is another Nor'Easter and the wind is blowing like crazy and, of course, it is raining and dark outside.
I suspect North Jersey is getting snow but we just have rain along the shore here.
I can hear the rain on the windows and on the ponds outside.
I took these photos in November as the phragmites was turning golden.
It is a lovely place in every season I think but, I love being outdoors and I really enjoy being by the bay in all weather.

There is thunder and lightning with this nor'easter and is it ever loud.
Some snow is mixing in with the rain too  and the street is getting a bit white now.
As I was posting this I heard a loud bang and looking outside saw that the big trellis had broken off the house and slammed into the front window. I went out..got soaked.. but managed to pull it off the window. Now it is in another awful spot and broke one of the outdoor garden lights but it is too heavy for me to move.
There are times a man would be nice to have around ;)

Updating Posts

I've been working on paintings today (New one of the surf in progress) but I took time to repair this blog.
Posts that contained photos and pictures from Photobucket were a mess and had to be put back into storage until I could rehost the photos on Blogger.
I am still not done and a lot of posts are missing. Little by little I will get them back though.
Its freezing outside but coffee is keeping me warm and going today.
I like this little emoji. Makes me want to dive in for a hot swim. Somehow I think I would regret it.
On the other hand, you never know until you try.

A Post for the Birds

Love watching the birds!
I caught one hanging on for dear life when I made a video during the big bombogenesis
storm this week.
A little male cardinal was trying to withstand the heavy winds while the blizzard was raging around him.  Funny thing is that I didn't see him in the lens as I was taking it, only later when uploading the video to YouTube.  Look carefully at the end of the video and you will see the poor little guy. If I had known he was there I would have tried filming longer.
Now I know how the people who find bigfoot in their videos feel...except I get excited over much smaller stuff. ;)
And yes, I am a terrible video maker but I will improve.
And I will be posting more often as well.

Enough!!

I made this at Big Huge Labs from a selfie I took of myself this summer. Very cool what you can do. I named the movie "Enough" because that is what people would say 5 minutes in... hehehehe.

Autumn

These cranes lift boats in and out of the water at our neighborhood marina. Aren't the maple trees beautiful? I love to be outside, but I don't like being by myself that much.

By the Bay

I enjoy being here. It's nice to just sit and think while drinking a hot cup of coffee or tea.
The bay is ever changing like the mountains and the desert.
I've lived in all 3 areas and love them all.

Valentine's Day

I think this is so pretty
St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. Several martyrdom stories were invented for the various Valentines that belonged to .  A popular hagiographical account of Saint Valentine of Rome states that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire.
According to legend, during his imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. An embellishment to this story states that before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine" as a farewell Saint Valentine's Day is an official feast day in the Anglican Communion,  as well as in the Lutheran Church.  The Eastern Orthodox Church also celebrates Saint Valentine's Day, albeit on July 6 and July 30, the former date in honor of the Roman presbyter Saint Valentine, and the latter date in honor of Hieromartyr Valentine, the Bishop of Interamna.

Home

I like where I live and love the saying "Bloom where you are planted".
